1943 East Helena War Service Plaque
Built in 1943 and dedicated on Armistice Day, September 6, 1943, the monument commemorated those from East Helena called to serve their country in the armed forces. Since then, this location which became Main Street Park has been visited twice a year by the community. The honorable East Helena Cory-Dullum VFW Post 10010 organizes the ceremonial events on Memorial Day and Veterans Day. Twice since then, this monument has been rebuilt, along with continuing the tradition of adding names of those who have and those who are serving.
