The Montana Legislature passed, and the Governor signed, House Bill 215 during the recent 2021 session. Effective immediately, HB 215 aligned state law MCA 50-37-105 with federal law 27 CFR 555.11. Although certain fireworks such as roman candles are allowed to be sold and discharged in areas in Montana, such as Lewis and Clark County, the City of East Helena will review and consider allowing these types fireworks to be sold and discharged within the city limits.
